WhatsApp was down for several users on January 22 late at night. The users complained they were unable to send and receive messages on the app. This led for WhatsApp to trend on Twitter as the users went berserk to find the root cause of the message sharing app not being active for more than an hour. However, the things got sorted and the app is working fine now. The problem persisted across the globe as users tweeted:
