Song Laaj Sharam is the third song to release from Veere Di Wedding, after Tareefan and Bhangra Ta Sajda. The film revolves around four besties and the wedding of one of their Veeres – Kalindi Puri, played by Kareena Kapoor Khan. But before the big fat Indian wedding, comes the shaadi ki tayaari – shopping, grooming, pleasing the parents, trousseau trails et al. And the song Laaj Sharam captures all these aspects of getting married and then some more.

The song inspires women to start giving a damn to what people say or will say and live life on their own terms. Since anyway, you cannot please every body, so at least please yourself and live life the way you want. The song sees a disinterested Kareena who is getting bogged down by all the pressures being put on her while she gets ready to tie the knot with Sumeet Vyas. You will also see Sonam Kapoor, who doesn’t mind making the first move and knows how to handle a rejection and make the most scandalous comebacks when met with awkward comments from nosy aunties. The song Laaj Sharam is sung by Divya Kumar and Jasleen Royal with rap by Enbee on music and lyrics by White Noise.
