Actress Mallika Sherawat has come a long way from her school days, and at first glance, you would not be able to recognise her in the throwback picture of herself that she shared on her social media page. Mallika, who was born Reema Lamba, has over the years proven herself to be quite an accomplished actor, starring in Hindi, English and Chinese movies.
Looking at the picture she shared on her Instagram page with the caption, “Found this pic from my school days, what a journey it has been:)!”, we can definitely say she has come a long way.
Mallika, who has established herself as a sex symbol with her bold onscreen attitude in films like Khwahish and Murder, recently shared a throwback picture from when she starred in Hollywood film named Hisss, co-starring Irrfan Khan and directed by Jennifer Lynch. She captioned the picture as, “Loved playing a snake goddess in the creature feature film #hisss #naagin #horror #fantasy #saturdayvibes #saturdayswag #throwback.”
But it’s not all glam as can be seen in another picture that she had shared on Women’s Day on March 8. Dressed in an Indian attire that was totally different from her usual western wear, she captioned the picture, “Fierce Bold Daring #happywomensday #womenempowerment.”
Apart from the above-mentioned movies, Mallika also starred in 2006’s romantic comedy Pyaar Ke Side Effects which won her critical acclaim. The other successful movies that she has starred in are Aap Ka Suroor – The Real Love Story, and Welcome (her biggest commercial success so far), and Double Dhamaal. The other English movie that she starred in was Politics of Love.
