India vs West Indies 2018 ODIs: BCCI announced a 14-member squad for the upcoming ODIs against the touring Windies team for the first two games and wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik was snubbed. Ace commentator Harsha Bhogle came up with a tweet where he apparently felt for Karthik and hoped BCCI has informed him that he is no longer needed in the limited overs team. His post read, “Feel for Dinesh Karthik. Hopefully, been told why he is no longer needed in limited overs cricket.”

This somehow did not go down well with fans who reminded Bhogle of Karthik’s recent form.
Here is what Twitter felt.
He is no Longer needed in Test Cricket been given only 2 test to prove himself when everybody else also failed. He is no longer needed in ODI too even when he came out to bat in Asia Cup final and soaked in pressure. He”ll also not play WC 19 and India will fail again in Pressure

Again wrong.. Karthik averages 41 and that too because he had been not out on 2 occasions. In 2018, he has scored just 167 runs in 6 innings at no. 4 with highest of 44.
Nothing concrete to CEMENT his place. pic.twitter.com/Xm7bJarSHq— Shubham (@shubh_ind) October 11, 2018
Let me just make it clear for you….Karthik played just one limited overs game in Eng where he made 24…..he had a decent asia cup and averaged over 40…..and overall since his comback he averages over 45 with the bat,so dropping him by no means is justified.

Sir, On what basis, @DineshKarthik is dropped!
He recently won you a game of 27 runs in 9 balls.
And he did not had such a bad asia cup that you’ve dropped him.
On what basis M pandey is selected then?
We have really wasted a player who was in the form of his life. #INDvsWI#DK— Mohit Bohra (@mohitbohra07) October 11, 2018
Meanwhile, BCCI stuck to the same 12 that was picked for Rajkot and that surprised fans as Mayank Agarwal was not selected. The first ODI is slated for October 21.
