Greater Noida, July 18: In a tragic accident, a six-storey under-construction building fell on top of another four-storey under-construction building in Greater Noida Noida’s Shah Beri village on Tuesday night.
Till latest reports, two male dead bodies were recovered by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams. Several others are feared to be trapped under the debris of the collapsed buildings.
NDRF Commandant PK Srivastava said that chances of survival of any victim are very scant.

Speaking on the incident, Union minister Mahesh Sharma said, “Our priority right now is to save any life that is left. 12 ambulances are present here and all hospitals nearby have been alerted. NDRF teams and dog squads are also present on the spot”.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the incident and asked the District Magistrate to take up relief measures with NDRF teams and police to ensure immediate rescue.
Search and rescue operations are currently underway. More details are awaited.
