Goa: Prostitution Racket Busted at Anjuna Guest House, Two Women Rescued

New Delhi, June 13: The Goa Police crime branch on Wednesday busted a prostitution racket at a guest house in Anjuna in Goa. At least three people have been arrested for their involvement in the prostitution racket. The police have rescued two women from the guest house. Further investigation in the case is underway. This is a developing story and more details are awaited in the case.

Earlier on June 12, three people, including two lesser-known models, were caught by the district rural police for their alleged involvement in the operation of a prostitution racket in Bhayandar town of Thane district in Maharashtra. The police got a tip-off that a woman was running a prostitution racket from the premises of a salon which shut down a few days ago at the Mira road.

Acting on the tip-off, the police raided the salon and arrested three people from its premises. Three people include two men, including a model from Karnataka, and a woman model hailing from Bihar. Police rescued two women from the salon.

Earlier on February 18, the Mumbai police arrested a woman make-up artist, working in the film industry, for allegedly running a prostitution racket. The 38-year-old woman, who worked as a make-up artist for Bollywood films, was arrested after police sent her a decoy customer.

The police didn’t disclose the woman’s name and arrested her after the decoy customer struck a deal with her for supplying call girls for Rs 1 lakh.
