FIFA World Cup 2018 Finals: Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic And French president Emmanuel Macron Hug The Most Trending Picture of Monday

France beat Croatia 4-2 to win the FIFA World Cup for the second time, but what grabbed eyeballs was Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic and French President Emmanuel Macron together in the VIP box at the iconic Luzhniki Stadium during the summit clash.

The French President also made sure he entered the locker room of Croatia after the match and hugged and played with Golden Boot winner Luka Modric’s kids. The French official football Twitter handle posted the image. It read, “Great gesture from French president Emmanuel Macron as he comes to congratulate #CRO players following the #WorldCupFinal!

After winning the match, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic congratulated the team after winning the match. The two shook hands and shared an affectionate hug in the stands.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladmir Putin was also present at the venue.

It was an own goal by Mario that broke the deadlock, but then first-time finalists Croatia equalised soon. But that did not last long as a penalty gave France the lead and then MPabbe and Paul Pogba got on the scoresheet. The better side won no doubt, but the Croatians won innumerable hearts at the venue.

Kylian Mpabbe became the second teenager after legendary Pele in 1958 to score at the summit clash of the World Cup. He also won the FIFA Young Player Award, while Belgium’s Thibaut Courtois won the Golden Glove Award for the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
